What this ADHD test measures

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) affects how people regulate attention, impulses, and activity levels. The ASRS-v1.1 was developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization and is one of the most widely used self-report screening tools for adult ADHD.

This screening covers the three core symptom domains: inattention (difficulty sustaining focus, losing things, forgetfulness), hyperactivity (restlessness, difficulty staying still), and impulsivity (interrupting others, difficulty waiting). The supplemental questions also assess executive function — planning, time management, and emotional regulation — which are commonly affected in adults with ADHD.

A high score does not mean you have ADHD. Many conditions — anxiety, sleep deprivation, stress, and depression — can produce similar patterns. If your results suggest significant ADHD symptoms, consider speaking with a psychiatrist or psychologist who can conduct a full clinical evaluation.
